Bathrooms around the world are designed differently, but most have the vanity or a toilet next to the bath tub.
These can cause access problems for a product like this.
Either a vanity or toilet will reduce standing room in front of the bath.
When researching prior to designing the TUBmat®, we identified this as a potential problem.
To have a baby bath and a change mat fixed next to each other could not work.
The two diagrams below show you the standing room problem.
Look at the bathing position photo which has the change mat next to the baby bath.
You are not able to stand in front of the mat and change your baby’s nappy or dry them.
The vanity will be in your way.
The solution?
For you to stand comfortably in either the bathing or changing nappy position, the change mat has to be made so it slides across.
The change mat top has to slide from side to side into the standing room area.
It cannot work any other way for the system to work for 95% of bathrooms around the world.
* TUBmat® suits bathrooms with vanity/toilet or no vanity/toilet next to house bath
* The mat slides sideways away from baby bath to expose the bathing area
* While you’re using the bath the change mat will be out of your way
* For nappy changing and dressing the mat is where you can stand, away from vanity/toilet!
Take a look at the two photos below, where half of the change mat is in line with half of the vanity. You cannot stand there and use the mat in that position. So drying or nappy changing is impossible. Now look at the change mat in the nappy changing position photo: the mat is in the standing area. Because bathrooms are usually built this way it was unworkable to have the baby bath and the change mat side by side. The TUBmat®'s practical design helps you and is aimed at your comfort.
