Yes you can and we recommend this. Sometimes we run out of stock and we disappoint people who have planned to buy and had left it to the last minute. Lay buy your system over a 6 month period is a great way to spread the costs and you will be guaranteed that your system will be there when you need it.
Can I pay a deposit to reserve my system for when I need it?
Yes. This is a clever way to place your order. We recommend it. By placing a deposit, we will hold your system for up to 3 months, which will guarantee you your system, when you actually need it. The TUBmat® is an extremely popular selling system and sometimes we run out of stock, which can be disppointing if you leave it to the last minute. Please call the sales team on 1300 553360.

What would happen if we moved house & our new bath tub was a different size?
The TUBmat® has been carefully designed. There are 11 models that are produced from the Tm1400 base model. All components are exactly the same for all 11 models apart from adding on a different sized Extension top. The width and the length of the TUBmat® frame is completely adjustable. The length will adjust from 1120mm to 1880mm by 1mm increments and the width will adjust from 575mm to 750mm. So, if you move and your new house bath tub is a different size tub to your current home, you will be able to purchase an Extension top to suit your new bath size.

What is the difference between the models?
The difference is the length of the system. Each model number indicates it’s length; for example the Tm1400 is (1400mm/140cm) in length.
The Tm1800 is (1800mm/180cm) in length, etc.
Every system has the exact same components, apart from one. The only difference is the top.
There is an Extension Top that makes up the length difference from model to model. For Example; model Tm1800 (1800mm/180cm long). This will have an extension top of (400mm/40cm) that will be added onto the Tm1400. The frame is adjustable to suit every model.

Can I have the bath on the left or the right hand side?
Yes. It is up to you which side you would like the bath on, although it will be governed by your vanity. If your vanity is right next to your bath tub then you would place the bath for your TUBmat® opposite to your vanity. If your vanity is not next to your bath tub it is entirely your decision. You can place it on the right or left side.

How much does the TUBmat® weigh?
The smallest TUBmat® weighs approximately 45 Kilos and 51 Kilos for the largest size/model.
How stable is the system?
The TUBmat’s® weight of 45 kilos (smallest model), together with its Non Slip Non Marking Rubber Silicon Feet, create its unbelievable sturdiness. When using your TUBmat® you will stand next to it without leaning into it. Your body may touch the front side of it but your weight is not actually pushing against it, so there is no reason for it to move. It is amazingly Rock Solid. Guaranteed!
Can it be knocked off my bath tub?
No. To move it, you would have to bump into it really hard and if you did you will only push it into the back wall, stopping it there. Normal bumps will not move it due to its weight and its gripping silicon feet.
The system has also passed tests with 3 legs actually sitting on the bath, while the remaining 4th leg hung over the bath. The system did not topple over and it maintained its position on the bath.
How can I fill the TUBmat® bath?
Using the TUBmat® Hose which is 2 meters long, you simply slip it over your vanity/basin taps in your bathroom and fill the TUBmat® bath. Once filled you slip the hose off. You can store the hose in the TUBmat® bath when bathing is finished.

Is the TUBmat® moveable once on my bath tub?
Yes. The TUBmat® is definitely movable as it just sits there on your bath tub. It is not fastened to your bath in any way, so it can be lifted off at any time. The only components that touch your bath tub are the Non marking Non Slip Rubber Feet on the bottom of each leg.
How much weight can the TUBmat® support?
Far more then required. The TUBmat® can support weight of over 300 kilos. The baths water capacity of 65 litres together with a child of approximately 4 years of age is less than 100 kilos in weight. The TUBmat® is extremely tough. Little Bear® haven’t taken any chances with your baby's safety.It is the safest and best system on this planet!
Will it mark my bath tub?
No. The feet are Non Marking Silicon Rubber feet and they will not mark the surface of your bath.
What are the dimensions of the legs/feet?
The Legs are square & measure 50mm x 50mm (5cm x 5cm)
The actual feet measure 54mm x 54mm (5.4cm x 5.4cm)
The Frame- how much does it adjust to?
Firstly the length and the width of the frame are adjustable by 1mm increments.
The length can be set up from 1100mm (110cm) up to 1880mm (188cm)
The width can be set up from 575mm (57.5cm) up to 910mm (91cm).

The feet of the TUBmat® can sit in sunken or on raised soap dishes that some bath tubs have.
Soap dishes are generally 3 - 5mm in depth or in height.
This small depth or height variance, does not affect the stability, or it’s operation.
The frame is completely adjustable; so in most cases the legs/feet can be set away from these areas.

My bath is 70cm wide and the TUBmat® is 75cm wide. How will it fit?
The TUBmat® fits baths that measure from 65cm to 80cm. The TUBmat® should be fitted so that its top overhangs the bath. If your bath measures 70cm you will then have about 5 - 6cm overhang. If your bath measures 80cm, you will be able to set the TUBmat® a little forward, so that the top of your TUBmat® overhangs your bath a little.

My bath is less than your recommended width of 65cm but I really want a TUBmat®?
This only applies to WALL BATHS. The width does not matter for Island baths or Claw baths. Little Bear® have had customers that have had extremely narrow bath tubs which in many cases there is a simple solution available. That is; you may have the opportunity to place the 2 back TUBmat® legs on the back of your bath near the back wall and the 2 front TUBmat® legs on the floor in front of your bath. You would require 2 longer legs for the front and 2 shorter legs for the back. Little Bear® will customize your systems legs to suit you. My shower is in my bath and I only have one shower
This poses a problem. We do not recommend that you buy the TUBmat®. The TUBmat® will be in your way and you will not want to move it every day to use your only shower. If you have room elsewhere in your home and you want the TUBmat®, Little Bear® have the Free Standing model that you could consider. This is a great option!

I have a shower screen on my bath but I have a separate shower. Will the screen be in the way?
Yes in 90% of cases it will probably be in the way. If you don’t use this shower in your bath then 1 of the 2 problems are solved. Now we would need a photo to see if the screen is in the way. Please email us a photo including the length and width dimensions of your bath tub and shower screen and we will recommend your options. We have had many customers who desperately want the TUBmat® who simply take off the screen. Shower screens are removable. Email us your bathroom photos.
The top of my vanity extends completely over the width of my bath. It seems as if the vanity top will stop 2 legs sitting on the flat areas at each corner of my bath.What can I do?

I am not sure which model I need? What should I do? I don’t want to order the wrong size?
You have 2 choices.
1) Go through our website, it doesn’t make a mistake and it’s simple to do. The website will ask you to measure the width, length and height of your bath. It will then ask you for your height and your bath height. From this point Little Bears® website will work out what you require.
2) Email sales a photo of your bath tub. When you click on this email your bath photos link it will ask you for the information we require. From here we will recommend the correct model that you require Guaranteed!.

If you did happen to buy the incorrect size, it is simple to rectify. One component is all that is required. Every component is the same for all 11 TUBmat® models. The difference between all of the models is the little Top Extension at the end of the TUBmat®.

What happens if I make a measuring error & the system I have purchased is incorrect?
Little Bear® have a pretty simple solution for this. Every model and there are 11 models have the exact same components. The smallest model components are supplied for all orders and for each larger model Little Bear® supply the appropriate Extension Top that makes up the difference. The frame is completely adjustable in length and in width and suits all 11 models. In fact it adjusts by 1mm increments. Every model receives the base top and larger models receive an extension top that joins onto the main top which makes up the top difference.
So if you made an error it is simple for us to fix it for you. You would only require 1 component. You keep everything that you have, you basically just need an Extension Top. It’s an easy straight forward solution. GURANTEED!
